It has been almost a year since HOUSE OF BAD MEMORIES was released into the world and to commemorate the occasion we are hosting one hell of a competition.
When we first commissioned Vincent Chong to create the amazing cover art for House of Bad Memories we put so many easter eggs and references to the story into the cover. We knew we couldn’t run the competition on release as to pick up on the references you’d have to read the book.
So now is the time for the competition, my friends. Write to michael@thisishorror.co.uk with the subject line ‘House of Bad Memories Competition’ and list all the easter eggs/references to the story you can see in the cover art. We will be giving prizes away to the two people who get the most easter eggs (if there’s a tie then we will draw names from a hat—perhaps a fedora).
Here are the prizes on offer:
FIRST PRIZE
- An A3 print of the cover art signed by Vincent Chong
- Signed copies of all three of Michael David Wilson’s books (THE GIRL IN THE VIDEO, THEY’RE WATCHING, and HOUSE OF BAD MEMORIES) sent to you from Japan and with some Japanese snacks and goodies included
- The audiobook of a Michael David Wilson book of your choice (if you have all three then it can be a future release)
- Two books of your choosing published by Cemetery Gates Media
SECOND PRIZE
- A signed copy of a Michael David Wilson book of your choice, sent to you from Japan and with some Japanese snacks and goodies included
- The audiobook of a Michael David Wilson book of your choice (if you have all three then it can be a future release)
- One book of your choosing published by Cemetery Gates Media
So, what are you waiting for, friends. Send us your entries and we might just throw some extra prizes in for those who come close but don’t quite make the top two.
The competition closes at midnight on October 1st, 2024.
Have a great day!
About House of Bad Memories
“House of Bad Memories is a haunting and equally visceral tone poem of cruelty, betrayal, and vengeance. Michael David Wilson’s writing vibrates with the all-consuming trauma and suffering of humanity. This is a novel that I certainly won’t forget.”
