Five Deaths for Seven Songbirds by John Everson - cover“With his latest, Everson dives into the diabolical world of Giallo with a twisted tale of madness and murder.”

Someone is killing the Songbirds.

The star of the school’s piano program is found strangled with piano wire, a grainy Facebook picture of the victim’s final moments the only clue. Now Eve has to take the girl’s place. She receives a coveted scholarship and membership to the famed Songbirds. When Eve is drugged and another Songbird is murdered, she finds herself a suspect.

When another picture of the latest victim appears online, Eve is sure the hands seen around the victim’s neck are hers. Did she kill the girl while under the influence?

Could the killer be  Phillip, the creepy caretaker? Or Gianna, who seems to hate everyone? Maybe it’s Professor Von Klein … so handy with a camera, and he has a secret room in his office? With so many others likely to be the killer, Eve is forced to figure out who it is. And now someone has left a dead canary on the keys of her piano … Eve’s life may be in danger.
