Why we’re excited about this book:

Horror fans should know the name Richard Thomas quite well. The author of Transubstantiate, Disintegration, Breaker, and The Soul Standard (with Nik Korpon, Caleb J. Ross, and Axel Taiari), Thomas has four story collections (Staring into the Abyss, Herniated Roots, Tribulations, and Spontaneous Human Combustion), and has short fiction featured in such publications as The Best Horror of the Year (Volume 11), Cemetery Dance, Behold!: Oddities, Curiosities and Undefinable Wonders, Gargoyle, Lost Highways: Dark Fiction from the Road, Shadows Over Main Street, Weird Fiction Review, and Midwestern Gothic among others. Thomas has also edited several anthologies, including The New Black and Burnt Tongues. With his latest, Thomas will send a shiver down your spine with the tale of a sin-eater facing off nightmarish monsters invading from a breach in reality. Laird Barron (Swift to Chase) says: “Thomas is one of the best when it comes to the art of visceral horror. Incarnate is as cold and immaculate as winter in the deep Arctic.”, and Gwendolyn Kiste (The Haunting of Velkwood) says: “Richard Thomas is a major name in the horror genre, and his latest book once again proves why. This is a strange, profound, and powerful tale about good and evil, and it’s one that will stick with you long after you’ve turned the final page.” Sam Rebelein (Edenville) says: “Reading Incarnate is a visceral experience—weird cosmic horror at its purest. Brutal and unforgiving, Thomas’s novel is epic in its scope and ideas. The creature horror is mind-blowing—endlessly unique and fascinating in its variety. In his skilled hands, even the wildest beast is human and capable of redemption. I truly don’t know how else to describe this meditative, monstrous, delicate, icicle-sharp novel. You’ll just have to taste it for yourself.”

Releasing from Podium Publishing 10 September 2024, Incarnate by Richard Thomas is available for pre-order now.
