“With his latest, Essig spins a dark yarn as a group of evil musicians hellbent on revenge make camp in an Old West town in this gruesome splatter western.”
After getting word that his family ranch has been overtaken by marauders, Blue arrives in La Plateau in time to learn of another mystery. Seems three musicians have been singing death songs, terrorizing the townsfolk. Those that can leave do, but for some, their pride keeps them planted in place, hoping a death song isn’t sung for them. Sadly, those unfortunates don’t make it through the night.
Faced with a strange homecoming, Blue seeks out an old flame. Louise is a psychic, but the cloud of darkness hovering over La Plateau is too thick. Folks are scared.
Blue must face his fears, and the fears of the whole town, and take on some unlikely allies to even have a chance to get his ranch back. These singers have vengeance against Blue on their minds.
Who’s name will be on the lips that sing the next death song?
