Fear The Walking Dead Season 2 Begins Production

AMC have announced that production on season two of Fear The Walking Dead has begun production at Baja Studios in Mexico. Executive producer Dave Erickson comments:

“We are thrilled to be starting production and even more thrilled to be shooting in Mexico. Baja Studios has been home to some of the greatest ocean-set films in recent years and provides all the creative resources we need to begin this new chapter in the ‘Fear’ saga. We couldn’t be happier.”

Fear the Walking Dead is set to return for its second season of 15 episodes in spring 2016.

The Highridge Massacre Fully Funded and Ready for Blood

After a successful Kickstarter and support from Eli Roth’s Rum Punch Productions, all eight webisodes of The Highridge Massacre are ready for release. Created by the people behind Young, High and Dead and the guys behind horror website Beyond the Gore, The Highridge Massacre will debut on Roth’s Fear The Crypt platform in early 2016. Director, writer, and producer Luke Brady has been working on this project since 2007, and together with actress Kerry Bennett (BBC’s Casualty) and Jacob Fortune-Lloyd (BBC’s Wolf Hall), the series promises looks to deliver a slasher gore-fest. Kirkman and Azaceta Prepare the Second Arc of Outcast Comic Book

Writer Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead, and artist Paul Azaceta are gearing up for the latest arc of their demonic possession Image Comics series Outcast and have released a nice preview that you can see over at ComicMonsters.com right HERE.

Anyone who would like to check out the first arc of the comic book, and we do suggest that you do, can pick themselves up a copy HERE.

An all new television series based on Outcast is also currently in production and is set for a 2016 release.

Details Announced for DREAD: The Best of Grey Matter Press – Volume One

Details have been announced on the table of contents for the upcoming Grey Matter Press release DREAD: The Best of Grey Matter Press – Volume One. Set to be released in March 2016, the release of DREAD will mark the start of a twelve month celebration to commemorate the publisher’s second anniversary.

Spanning multiple fiction genres, DREAD is somewhat of a different beast from other anthologies in that it has been curated by readers who served as the sole editors during a selection process. The reader-editors chose their favorite short stories from all Grey Matter Press titles published during its first year of business (2013-2014), and they compiled the first installment of its planned “greatest hits” anthology series. Choosing work by some of the most recognized names in modern fiction, fans honored master authors Jonathan Maberry, Ray Garton, John F.D. Taff, William Meikle, Tim Waggoner, John Everson, Bracken MacLeod, JG Faherty and many more with their selections.
