Secrets of the Weird by Chad Stroup, available now from Grey Matter Press
Featuring a variety of the taboos of today’s society, such as drag queens, neo-nazis, prostitutes, cannibals and more besides, Secrets of the Weird is the latest novel from Chad Stroup. Told in a hardcore voice that adds to the brutality of the content, the novel is one that is shocking but also attempting to show some of the faces of modern man. A world of gothic music and dark fairy tales comes to the London stage
Taking inspiration from the fantastical worlds of Tim Burton, the legendary fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm, and Lemony Snicket, Happily Never After is a theatrical production from improvisational group The Maydays. The production is based on a single audience suggestion and has received high praise in a variety of reviews, particularly from those who saw the production at the Edinburgh Fringe. Brand new slasher, WTF! brings a blood soaked homage to the genre to VOD 1 August
In the directorial debut by Peter Herro, WTF! is the tale of a twenty something girl, Rachel, sole survivor of a brutal attack, whose trip away to a cabin in the woods with friends has predictably similar results. The film will be available on Amazon Instant Video, Xbox video and more.
Horror legend John Carpenter signs up for two new series with Universal
Starting off with Tales for a Halloween Night, John carpenter will be executive producer on the show which aims to deliver a scary new face to a variety of horror tropes, from haunted houses, to ghost ships and more besides. Carpenter has also signed up for the same role on Nightside, a series adaptation of the award winning literary fiction series by Simon R Green.
