Punk Legends The Misfits’ songs immortalised in new story compilation

Minneapolis’ Wierdpunk Books has announced the release of a short story collection based on the lyrics of the Danzig-era songs of punk legends, The Misfits. Featuring a tale about an astro-zombie contemplating her former life, to a gruesome tale of organ harvesting, the horror-punk collection, entitled Hybrid Moments: A Literary Tribute to The Misfits is available now, with more information on the publisher’s Facebook page here.


The Horror Channel announces mammoth line-up for Halloween weekend

Genre movie lovers are in for a treat this Halloween, as The Horror Channel prepares a huge program of scares from October 28 to 31. Kicking off with the network premier or Frankenstein’s Army on 28 October, they also have the UK TV premier of Haunter the following evening. Sunday 30 October includes the Scandinavian vampire story Let the Right One In and Halloween night itself will feature the UK Premier of V/H/S. Volumes of Blood II trailer now available

After winning awards with last year’s Volumes of Blood, the short horror film anthology, Verité cinema have just released the trailer for their upcoming sequel, Volumes of Blood II. Strong genre presence at 60th Annual BFI London Film Festival

This year is the 60th anniversary edition of the BFI’s London Film Festival and genre fans will be pleased to find a number of horror titles in the programme. Mysterious Korean film The Wailing, directed by Hong-Jin Na (Chaser) and a remastered edition of the classic Phantasm head up the horror billing.
