Argento’s Phenomena To Get A Collector’s Edition Steelbook Release

While not the first film that may come to mind when Dario Argento’s name is mentioned, Phenomena (aka Creepers), starring Jennifer Connolly and the late, great Donald Pleasance  is an often overlooked gem that is getting the collector’s edition treatment from Synapse Films.

There will be three cuts of the film, on two Blu-rays, together with a CD soundtrack, a collector’s booklet and a raft of extras including the superb Dario Argento’s World Of Horror documentary. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Gets NYCC Trailer

The final instalment (probably-remember Friday 13th anyone?) in the Resident Evil saga hits our screens in January next year, but visitors to the New York Comic Con (NYCC) were treated to a special teaser trailer that has since made its way online.

In Resident Evil: The Final Chapter Alice (Milla Jovovich) finds humanity is on its last legs and must return to Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is preparing for a final strike against the survivors of the apocalypse. In a race against time Alice will join forces with old friends, and an unlikely ally, in an action packed battle with undead hordes and new mutant monsters. Between losing her superhuman abilities and Umbrella’s impending attack, this will be Alice’s most difficult adventure as she fights to save humanity, which is on the brink of oblivion.

New Documentary Spotlights Flemish Horror

Shining a light on what is a relatively overlooked and unknown corner of the horror universe, director Steve De Roover’s new documentary Forgotten Scares: An In Depth Look at Flemish Horror Cinema aims to examine the contribution that Belgium has, and will potentially, make on the genre.

Walking Dead Star Jams On Stage With Anthrax In Atlanta

Not content with being one of the coolest guys on AMC’s The Walking Dead, Norman (Daryl Dixon) Reedus swapped his trusty crossbow for a bass guitar on 5 October and jammed with thrash kings Anthrax during their show at the Atlanta Tabernacle.

Rocking out to the New York band’s Indians—from their 1987 album Among The Living which was inspired by Stephen King’s The Stand—Reedus showed that he is truly as rock and roll as his on, and off, screen image suggests. Check out some footage from TMZ here.
