Secret Cinema Presents Showcases 28 Days Later Event

The film that reinvented the zombie genre for today’s audiences, 28 Days Later, is coming to Secret Cinema Presents in a limited run in April, 2016. Danny Doyle’s cult horror masterpiece stars Cillian Murphy as Jim, who awakes from a coma only to find out a deadly virus has wiped out most of the population and the world is now overrun by hordes of the “infected”. This is Secret Cinema’s first foray into horror, and is a nationwide launch, as another secret city will join London to host this interactive experience. Fabien Riggall, Founder and Creative Director of Secret Cinema had this to say about the event:

“Secret Cinema is excited to step into the world of horror with Danny Boyle’s 28 Days Later, a true British horror classic – we look forward to creating a suitably frightening and exhilarating experience. Secret Cinema’s expansion over the last nine years has been remarkable – we’ve now created experiences in New York and Berlin, as well as the many in London. But this will be a turning point for us as we embark upon our very first UK nationwide production.”

Garnering support from director Danny Boyle, screenwriter Alex Garland, and producer Andrew Macdonald, this is one presentation movie audiences will not want to miss. The film runs from 14 April to 29 April, 2016.

Capcom Begins Production for Resident Evil 2 Remake

Following in the footsteps of their remarkable 2002 remake of the original Resident Evil game, Capcom is in preparation for remaking the very popular sequel, Resident Evil 2. Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi, who worked on both versions of the Resident Evil remake, is well aware of the pressure for this remake to remain true to the original, and to maintain the spirit of the first game. Using player feedback from the latest release, Resident Evil 6, Capcom is said to be paying close attention to input from the fans of the game. With no release date set at this time, it is unknown if Capcom plans to stick with some of the games older features such as the static camera angles and the original control schemes, or if it will adopt what was used in Resident Evil 4. This Is Horror will provide more up to date information as it becomes available.

WGN Announce Third Season of Salem Premiere Set for Halloween Week

Salem is set to return to the WG network with season three, Halloween week 2016. WGN has also confirmed that shock rocker Marilyn Manson will return this season as the barber surgeon Thomas Dinley. The supernatural TV series reimagines Colonial America as the stage for which the Salem witches plan to create their own ‘New World’ by conjuring the Devil himself to Earth. Of course, it’s best not to trust the Devil, who has his own plan to enslave and kill the people of the New World, and only one person can beat the Devil at his own game, his mother, Mary Sibley. There’s just one problem. Mary’s dead.

Starring Janet Montgomery (Human Target, Made in Jersey), Shane West (Nikita, ER), Seth Gabel (Arrow, Fringe), Tamzin Merchant (Jane Eyre), Joe Doyle (Raw), and Oliver Bell (The Saint), the series is created and written by Brannon Braga and Adam Simon, and produced by Fox 21 Television Studios.
