Double Take Release Night Of The Living Dead Paperback Compilations

Over the past year, Double Take Comics has been invading the world of zombie horror with a ten-book comic run that spanned the gauntlet of a zombie invasion. We’re not talking one comic book with ten issues but, literally, ten separate storylines, each of which story revolves around George A. Romero’s Night Of The Living Dead universe and provides different perspectives on the same event.

The first five books hit shelves on 28 September at ten dollars each and more details can be found on their website here.

Adam Wingard Talks Death Note Adaptation

With his Blair Witch sequel having hit theatres this week, Adam Wingard is now turning his thoughts towards his upcoming adaptation of acclaimed Japanese manga Death Note for Netflix.

Written by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, Death Note follows a high school student  who comes across a supernatural notebook that gives him the ability to kill anyone by writing their name while picturing their face. Drunk on power, he begins to kill those he deems unworthy of life.

In what will be music to the ears of the ardent horror fan, Wingard promises that the Death Note adaptation will be more violent than the source material and that there will be nudity, swearing and a ton of violence.

Year Of The Zombie Competition Announces Winner

2016 is Year Of The Zombie according to Infected Books, who have been releasing a novella a month by a raft of established authors including Sean T Page, Rich Hawkins and head honcho David Moody himself.

They recently ran a competition for amateur authors to submit a pitch and a page for the chance to be published as the October offering in the series and Scott McGlasson is the lucky winner.

McGlasson’s novella Nock was a clear favourite with judges Michael Preissl, Gina Panettieri and Moody and will be released as an ebook on 1 October.
