The Outer Dark presents Quarantine Readings by Natania Barron and David Bowles. This podcast was recorded on January 25 and 26, 2022.

    Show Notes

The first The Outer Dark Quarantine Reading series installment of 2022 features two award-winning spec-lit authors and exclusive sneak preview readings from their exciting 2022 releases. David Bowles  treats us to an excerpt from the first episode of The Obsidian Codex (0:14:30), his new Mesoamerican cosmic horror podcast which premieres Feb. 14, and reads from YA historical novel The Prince and the Coyote (0:27:05) forthcoming from Levine Querido in Fall 2022. Natania Barron (0:40:55) reads from Queen of Fury (0:52:12), forthcoming this summer from Vernacular Books and a sequel to her feminist Arthurian retelling Queen of None, which won the Manly Wade Wellman Award in 2021. David and Natania also share their experiences with lockdown living in Texas and North Carolina respectively, as well as their publishing news, David’s involvement with Chispa Comics (new Latinx imprint of Scout Comics),  how Natania became a Twitter sensation, and what they’ve both been reading lately.
